Nanny-Household Manager: Madison (central)Date Posted: 07-26-2014
A wonderful family that we have worked with before located in central Madison (near Monroe street area) is seeking a Nanny-Household Manager to begin mid September (latest September 25th). They have two children ages 7 and 9 years old. They will need the nanny to work primarily after school starting around 1pm on Mondays and 2:30pm Tuesday thru Friday. They will also need the nanny to be available to work when there are no-school days or sick days (flexibility to do so is very important). Most days the nanny will leave around 6:30pm (~25 hours per week). While the kids are in school or at activities the house management duties will include family laundry, grocery shopping, errands, very light cooking (meal prep), keeping things neat and organized. The kids will need to be driven to some activities during the week, and sometimes need pickup from school (rare). The parents are both surgeons and need a nanny that is available to be on call for night coverage in the rare event they “both” would get called into the hospital on the same night. The dates would be known well in advance, usually about 4 nights per month, but very unlikely – it has happened maybe 5 times in the past 9 years. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that truly enjoys kids, is very organized, enjoys being domestic and has a friendly, upbeat attitude. The salary is $700 per week gross; including 4 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays and 3 paid sick days per year. The last nanny we placed worked with this family for 7 years and serves as an excellent reference. Great family!!

Full Time or Part Time Nanny: Middleton, WI Date Posted: 06-26-2014
A professional couple located on the Westside in the Middleton Hills Neighborhood is seeking a nanny to start at the end of August. They have a 5 year-old daughter that will be entering kindergarten this fall and a 2-½ year-old son. The parents are both faculty at UW–Madison. They have the option to place their son in a preschool program at the UW–Madison Waisman Center everyday from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and would consider one of two different options: either (i) hiring a part-time nanny to work Monday-Friday from 12 pm until 5:30 pm, or (ii) not enrolling him (until Fall 2015) and instead hiring a full-time nanny to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 am until ~5:30 pm. [*If part time, they would prefer a nanny that has the flexibility to work all day on occasions when their daughter and/or son are not at school (e.g., on scheduled in-service days or when mildly sick, etc.)] Their ideal nanny is someone with strong communication skills who is mature, proactive, highly organized, down-to-earth, and reliable, who can provide a loving, creative, healthy, and safe environment for their two children. Past experience as a nanny and the ability to make a long-term commitment (multi-year) is strongly preferred. Depending on the schedule (part-time or full-time), typical days would be as follows. Part-time scenario: picking their son up at preschool at 12:30 pm, transporting him by car to their home for the afternoon, picking up their daughter from kindergarten on occasion at 3 pm (at a local elementary school less than a 10 min walk), and providing a balance of age-appropriate indoor/outdoor afternoon activities that are intellectually stimulating and that promote learning, development, and social skills. Full time scenario: the day would be the same, with the exception that their son would be with the nanny full-time, creating opportunities for other morning activities both at home and away from home (e.g., a weekly KinderMusik class, walks in the neighborhood, trips to the park, nature center, zoo, library, etc.). Secondary duties (whether full-time or part-time) include light housekeeping by helping to keep areas clean, preparing healthy lunches and snacks, and doing laundry for the children only. The salary range for this position is negotiable based on previous childcare/nanny experience. Benefits will include 2 weeks paid vacation, 4 paid personal days, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly contribution towards health insurance (if needed). The nanny must be able to provide their own car. A wonderful family that has worked with us before!!
